We’ve seen the blog articles flying around social media urging us moms to “get in the photo”. It’s important! It is. You do need to be a visual part of your family’s history.  So we’ve established that we need to do it.  It’s vital for us and our children. We’ve also acknowledged that it’s hard…

I love this! I’m not a mom (yet) but I already feel like I’m always the one taking the photo at family events and even at home with my husband and our cats. I love the idea of the interval timer… I may have to look in to that because I love candids.ReplyCancel

I love all the tips! As a mom it is so hard to get into the images sometimes. And I am ALWAYS taking pictures of my hubby and little one, sans MAMA. I will have to try some of these. I loved the images of mom on the bed. I may try that and put my cell phone on my ceiling fan 🙂ReplyCancel

I love every bit of this!  While I’m not a human mom (yet), I am a fur-baby mom of older dogs and need to get in photos with them more.  Agreed, you’ll never ever say, “I wish I had taken fewer photos!”  Lets fill up those walls and albums with love, ladies!  ReplyCancel

Oh my goodness!  I can’t believe I won!  Thank you so very much.  I wish I had known about you when my daughter was born in October – I didn’t end up getting any newborn photos (only the few taken in the hospital, and they aren’t great).  ReplyCancel

      Hi Autumn,
I think that I must have typed in your email wrong. I am going to send it again. But yes, you won! And of course, you can book a session at any time. You’ve got the perfect age for a session right now with an (almost?) crawler. I <3 babies so much!ReplyCancel

Who Needs Direction? There’s Always Someday…

Nope. You can’t rely on someday. Being a Christiansburg, VA Photographer makes me a business person.  In order to have a successful business, I need to have a plan and goal-setting is important to that planning.  But as a regular But as a regular ol’ person, I also plan life goals and dreams.  (Fun sidenote…

I Don’t Want A One-Night Stand

Let’s create a relationship, not a one-night stand. I am a mother, wife, daughter, sister, friend, and business owner to name a few important attributes.  Each of those characteristics in itself comes with a load of responsibility.  You’ve heard me say that parenting is hard …life, in general, is a game that you have to…

Great Post! I need to read some of these motivational articles and books. I have lots of ideas, but the lack of motivation to implement them. It’s easy for me to get overwhelmed, need to focus on one thing at a time!ReplyCancel

There is a great podcast that I followed called entrepreneur on fire (EOFire) and he has a booked called The Freedom Journal. It’s a way to help you acheive a certain goal in 100 days or less. When I get a specific goal in mind, I really want to get it. It helps with accountability and planning.ReplyCancel

I am so proud of you for taking charge of your happiness! I have always admired you for your courage, confidence, and beauty inside and out. I *think* that I already receive your newsletter, at least that’s what the bot told me up above, haha.  As you know, I just started bullet journaling as a means of managing my mind and I can already see a difference.  One of my goals this month is to record and reflect on daily gratitude, I love it!  I really love the idea of giving what you want in return.  I think that as a goal next month, I am going to focus on that a bit more.  And, hell yes, way more productive in the morning!  Love you, girl.ReplyCancel

Watching your business grow over the years has brought me a bit of happiness. I’ve always looked forward to seeing your art on my Facebook feed. Seeing those precious, captured moments is a way I reflect on my own life and moments. This blog has inspired me to follow suit. I always feel like I am drowning in the day to day. I try to be the best mom, role model, wife, daughter, sister, friend and feel I’m failing miserably at it all. I need a fresh start and I read this book and get back on track. Thank you for your words, sharing your story and for the wake up call. 🙂 ReplyCancel

Christine – thank you so very much for saying that. It really means so much and you made my day.
We all have our own struggles, but stay positive. You are not failing. When we try in life, there’s no possible way to fail. Above all else…love yourself and that will see you through so much!ReplyCancel
